Privacy Policy

Summitview Land Holdings, LLC ("Summitview", "we", "us") operates summitviewland.com and provides software development and data consulting services. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Who we are

Summitview Land Holdings, LLC is a limited liability company incorporated in Florida, United States. For any privacy question or request, contact info@summitviewland.com. We respond within one business day.

What we collect

  • Information you send us. When you submit our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, company name, and whatever you choose to write about your project or data environment.
  • Usage data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how visitors arrive. This includes approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type, referring source, and pages viewed. We do not use it to identify you personally.
  • Nothing else. We do not collect payment details through this website, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not maintain user accounts here.

Why we use it

  • To reply to you. Contact details are used to respond to your enquiry and, if we go forward, to run the engagement.
  • To improve the site. Aggregated analytics tell us which articles are useful and which are not.
  • Legal basis (GDPR/UK GDPR). Replying to an enquiry relies on our legitimate interest in responding to a request you initiated, or on steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract. Analytics relies on legitimate interest in operating and improving the site.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We do not share your enquiry with third parties for their own marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.

Who processes data for us

We use a small number of service providers, each acting on our instructions:

  • Hostinger — website hosting.
  • Formspree — delivery of contact form submissions to our inbox.
  • Google Analytics — aggregated website analytics.
  • Google Workspace — our email.

These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where personal data of individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom is transferred, we rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Client data in consulting engagements

This is separate from website data and worth stating plainly. When we work on a client's data — warehouses, pipelines, BI models, machine learning — we act as a processor on that client's instructions, under the terms of the engagement agreement. In those engagements:

  • Client data stays in infrastructure the client owns or controls, unless the agreement says otherwise in writing.
  • We access only what the work requires, and access is removed when the engagement ends.
  • We do not use client data to train models for other clients, and we do not reuse it for any purpose beyond the agreed scope.
  • Where an engagement involves personal data, a data processing agreement governs it and takes precedence over this policy.

How long we keep things

Enquiries that don't become projects are deleted within 24 months. Records connected to an engagement are kept for as long as the business relationship lasts, and afterwards for the period required by tax and legal obligations. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' standard retention settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, receive it in a portable format, or withdraw consent where consent applies. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

If you are a California resident, you may request disclosure or deletion of your personal information and may opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of it — although, as stated above, we do not sell or share personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@summitviewland.com. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.

Cookies

This site sets only the cookies used by Google Analytics for aggregated measurement. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on, without losing access to any part of the site.

Children

This website and our services are directed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry data is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the site.

Applications

Our mobile and desktop applications each have their own privacy policy, listed on their App Store or store pages, because what they collect differs from product to product. This policy covers this website and our consulting services.
